I LOVE it and its entirely apropos. The only better shirt would be:MaineMarge wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 8:15 pmOh, happy birthday in advance, @DrTom.
Surprise gift coming your way!
I don’t believe I know your medical specialty,
but here’s a special T that looks like it would be a good fit

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I've decided to move my birthday to Feb 29th so that on my next birthday I'll be not quite 19. Won't fool anyone but it might stop the "Hi, I'm John from Medicare and I was wondering if you want to to review your benefits" or "We would like to schedule a home health visit with a healthcare practitioner to go over your medications and general health" Now the downside is that if I didn't get those the only calls I might get are car warranty renewals.

Ah but did you make a buck or just lose a lot of doe? Oh deer me, I've done it again!femullen wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:23 am Ahoy, the Muggles. Here's my weekly excuse:
~~~~~~
Our deer camp opened Thursday morn.
This hunter here was nearly torn
In two because, at four p.m.,
While working on a stratagem
For luring cervids into view,
And maybe taking just a few,
A thought intruded in my mind
That banished those of hart and hind.
For at that hour of four o’clock,
Instead of standing by a rock
In West Virginia, I might be
At home and waiting patiently
For Gaffney’s latest to arrive.
If fortunate, at half-past five,
Or maybe six, but not much more,
I’d cry, triumphantly, “Ashore!”
Of course, you might as easily
Complete the puzzle in a tree
If you had brought a phone and could
Receive a signal in that wood.
But Gilmer County’s far enough
Away from all such modern stuff
That smart phones aren’t, so there’s no way
To download stuff from Wall Street J.
The hunt continued three more days.
When idle, I considered ways
To get the puzzle in my hand
And somehow paddle in to land
Ashore and so to give the slip
To Isaac’s bar and to the ship.
But nothing worked. I was to be
Both lost in woods and lost at sea.
Home on Sunday. Didn’t get a
Chance to even touch the meta.
~~~~~~
Haven't looked at the solution yet, so I still have a chance to see if, indeed, I'll "never solve this one."

The one a doe, the next a buck,
The latter with the baleful luck
Of sporting not the normal rack
Of antlers but their utter lack.
Thus, on this target did I lock,
Delivering the fatal shock
A little bit abaft the neck:
He fell at once, a woeful wreck.
It’s best it happens just this quick-
Ly, otherwise it makes you sick.
It was the antlerless season, you see.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

The felling of a thing so grand.
An animal lover dyed in the wool,
But myself I would not fool,
Nor demand a hunter’s deprivation,
When hunters save deer from starvation.
By thinning herds the species bolster,
So please don’t keep guns in their holster.
To hunt for deer solely to be eaten,
Is husbandry that can’t be beaten.
So though I cannot take the shot,
I’d never advocate to not.

Marisa Tomei wants to know how you were dressed, @femullen.
(A favorite movie scene, but couldn't post the clip; NSFMF. - Not Safe for Muggles Forum. )

Further proof, in case it were needed, that I am pathetic in the popular culture department: (1) had to look up who Marisa Tomei was, and (2) I haven't any idea what movie or scene that might be.

Try "My Cousin Vinny" -- just google "....Imagine you're a little deer..."
