Ashore. And after a Boy Scout campout, looking forward to a celebratory libation.

Right now, it looks like I'm going to be upset with myself Monday morning. I feel like I am just not seeing something that should be apparent to me.

I’m with Inca.
New to the group… been working these for a few months now with mixed success.
But just not seeing this one.

On shore.

Completed the grid Friday, but didn't really look at the meta until this afternoon during the football game.

I needed help to get to shore for the second week in a row. I was looking in all the wrong places.

Solving a contest crossword is about spotting clues and knowing what to do when you see them. Every one's a learning opportunity.

I got it, had the idea but took me way too long due to silly mistakes, had to put the football game on to mute and actually focus.

Well, I'll have to resort to a Hail Mary this week. I'm just not seeing the mechanism.

Ashore, but may have landed in a rabbit hole.

Very clever Mr. Shenk. Finally got it after encouragement from Wendy. I had tried the right path but wasn't careful enough and abandoned it too early. Won't submit.

Just picked up the puzzle, quickly completed the grid and excavated the first (of many?) rabbit holes.

Was able to come back to the puzzle and pull out the answer! Late Sunday drinks, plus a Seahawks victory, life is sweet!

First time posting here, have been doing these for months on and off with mixed success. This week would make 3 correct in a row for me. I've solved the grid but cannot figure out the meta. Could anybody offer a nudge?

We are onshore! We were also on a scout trip this weekend so just picked up the meta and made it under the wire. Exhausted but always a smile when the AHA moment arrives.

So, I solved the grid Friday and after no immediate enlightenment, put it down. Life happened, and I could not engage in my typical obsession over the meta. Sat down tonight and realized I have to deal with Tom Brady v the Pats. Watching with Isaac.

Aha, the nudge got me to look at one of my previous rabbit holes more closely and fix my errors. Thanks.
Ashore.
