Really? I thought this was a lot harder. But I could be wrong.

I didn't particularly like this one but... I guess we all have opinions.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Not seeing it yet.

But I'm OK with that, we've got a lot of time left until the deadline.

Solving early the last two weeks and having to wait a full week until the next meta contest puzzle has been killing me! :o

Slow and steady wins the mug (eventually)! :D

I've stared so long my eyes are weak.
Increasingly, the odds look bleak.

I think I must be making this way harder than it is….. maybe I need to put it aside for a while!

Well, I came up with a solution about 6 o'clock last night that was a major world city, conformed to the hint at 47A, was achieved via an "urban shift" of sorts, and comported with another indication or two in the grid. But somehow I didn't get the familiar sense of Aha! that tells me it must be right. That suggests to me that it's wrong. I've been staring at the grid ever since.

On the other hand, back in June I solved one of these things that also failed to give me the confirming Aha! even though it was perfectly correct. The trouble then was that I didn't see the full cleverness of the mechanism, even though I'd gotten enough of it to get the answer. I'm guessing I'm probably in that same boat now.

And so, for now, in that (Love) boat I'll stay.

So late last night during a Twilight Zone episode, I’m pretty sure I stumbled upon the meta answer. (After last week, I’m not sure of anything anymore.)

To celebrate, I’m going to move my pink flamingo. The HOA says I can’t have one in the front yard. Well, I do. A foot tall one. You need to look hard to find it. I call it “Meta”!

On the beach - just had to sleep on it! Clever puzzle and great to solve after failing miserably last week!

Ashore, maybe. There are quite a few things I don't like about this meta. But I digress.

Update: I may be on the wrong shore...

Settling into my corner stool with Isaac - just not jumping out to me yet. Hopefully there will be more time to work on it before the dreaded Sunday deadline 🤔🍸

Hanging with Isaac for the time being. I'm seeing lots of interesting things, but I've no idea what to do with them.
