I’m at least on the yellow brick road. Not near shore but on the path.

I understand the cabana boy's former employer, McD's, was hoping to hire him back, but has so far been unsuccessful. (See below.) And they might up their signing bonus offer. So you'd better tip well!

Do they have them usually??? 😯
Beats me! Maybe they were getting invaded by women (or men) looking for a different kind of "happy meal"?

I am currently literally at the beach, but meta wise I am on the boat with Isaac and vacation may slow my trip to shore. But what a pleasant locale to ponder this week's contest!

Ashore! Had to take a bike ride midway through to ponder a few clues, but it worked! Congrats to the early solvers—you're so fast. Belgian beer for me please.

I'm on shore.

I have heard of this song, but I much prefer a different song from a different decade with the same name. At first I thought that Mike made a mistake, but then I realized the mistake was mine. The song I had in mind is less famous of course, but was played on the radio stations I listen to.

Looking through a list of #1 songs of the 2000's, I do not know any of them.

On beach with my homebrewed cream ale, listening to the sounds of the evening (and some Steve Miller). One hiccup on the grid and the meta hit me after some short pondering.

Cheers and good luck, fellow Muggles

Ashore! And very happy to be here on Thursday. I need the weekend to work on a project for the education foundation board on which I serve. We are partnering with our public school system to pilot a new reading mentorship program to improve student reading proficiency in K-3 students. It's an exciting and busy time since we hope to roll out this initiative by early October!

Just discovered an Emerson quote I enjoy so I wanted to share it with y’all. I don’t know if it’s well known, or even well-known, but it’s new to me and it gave me a chuckle:

The louder he mentioned his honour
The faster we counted our spoons...

On shore in (for me) record time! Enjoying the song on YouTube while sipping a White Claw.
