I feel like Lisa Simpson looking at the YAHOO SERIOUS FESTIVAL theater marquee. I have letters, and those letters can be put together in various name-wielding combinations, but none of them are sci-fi writers that I know of. Google is pretty much mocking my search queries now after about 9 tries; it's just coming back with "no, you moron - that is not the name of a science fiction writer. Please stop embarrassing yourself in front of me."
I've submitted the "sure, why not?" answer that I think everyone else with *shoulder shrug* posts is sending in. My initial strategy was not the right one but boy do I have some character names for a novel I'll never write now....

Got a late start (stupid meetings), but made fairly quick work of this. On shore, where I'm pleased to hear the mai tais are now being served in pitchers.
Check out this very cool project by many of your favorite muggles to raise money to fight cancer. You get a fun puzzle bundle and good causes get $. Win-win: Crosswords for Cancer

Onshore. Slower this week, as I’m still recovering from Bob, our cruise director, knocking me off page 1 last week. Why, bob? Why? 😉

Marion and I are definitely on the sand...........whee! We rowed separately this week - she joined me in the later boat but we are there.

Luck to all.

Don't let Dr. Tom hear you say that.
A phlox upon you for suggesting Dr. Tom would make a pun out of that! He is not Small of pun-magination, or Chicken to use it, but do not try to Cow him into silence!

(Take it away, Dr. Tom!)

If I did, they'll have thanked me for describing the transcendent experience of limburger sandwiches paired with an excellent beer and having convinced them to try them.

I can be persuasive about great food & beer. 😋

Kind of like appreciating an excellent cigar paired with a delicious single-malt.

Crossing my fingers that I've landed on the correct shore! Two weeks in a row?? Unheard of for me. Though my husband came in with a huge assist :)

Pretty sure but will mull it over a bit before submitting. Looking for a confirmation in the grid?

On shore! Like others, I’m less than 100% sure, but going to submit and save my energy for MGWCC Week 5 (gulp)

On shore, but miles to go before I sip (a G & T)
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Well, I’ll admit to being stuck. I have step 1, but no additional steps I’ve tried have yielded anything. Still with Isaac.
