Now that we're well past page one ... I'm with Anita. I was excitedly hitting refresh on the WSJ puzzle page until the grid popped up. Finished the grid a few minutes after Al posted his meta completion. But then, nothing. I saw a whole bunch of different types of coincidences and now I'm stuck in this hole with the rabbits.

🏖 On the beach in under 20 minutes. I messed up a little when filling in the grid, which helped me stumble onto the mechanism. 😁 Good one!

Those wings that I, like Icarus, dropped into the brine last week? Found them floating around today, put them on, flapped around a bit, and now am on shore. Let's hope they work for a few more weeks before the next crash.

Totally 19A. I have a feeling that will be a common joke this week.

Onshore! I’m surprised this is trending as 2.5 stars in difficulty. Although the grid was tough, I saw early on what was happening. There’s also a nice Easter egg in the grid.

I hadn't heard that name since they sponsored "Shindig" in 1964! Ashore.

After last week's debacle, I was glad to grab the RUDder with a steaDY hand and get to shore! Last week was torTURed meandering and this week was (almost) iNSTant recognition of the mechanism. I believe that the drinks are two for ONE at the tiki bar! I'll have a Magners.
Neither I nor the wifey have been able to even complete the grid this time. :-( We shall go out to dinner to celebrate a week ahead of what we hope to be *very* good news and combine efforts on same. Two months of trying these metas led us to assume that the grids would be "gimmes". Prepared to resort to Googling should our collaboration prove to be insufficient.

At least I've made some progress with miss LadyBird's shenanigans. These guys occasionally work the shore at our world famous muck diving site in West Palm.

Onshore. The grid was a struggle for me, requiring consultations with Mr. G in a couple of places, but by the time I finished that I understood the meta.

On shore! Had the right idea early, but took me a while to find the right execution.

I'll have a double this week.

On the beach. Toes firmly in the sand.
