I hadn't heard that name since they sponsored "Shindig" in 1964! Ashore.
You remember a sponsor of "Shindig"? Remarkable.
The farthest back I go is Laugh In, Magic Garden and Family Affair.
Magic Garden! I loved that show (when I was a kid.)

Ashore!

As always with Mr. Shenk, quite a clever construct!

Insanely clever construction. We always wonder how it is even possible to make a puzzle with this level of complexity.

Anyway, ashore and happy.

I almost gave up on the grid too, but I got it. I didn’t even know googling was allowed (?) but I did/had to this time. Very good news? awesome!
Extremely good news - for most *all* of us - if it comes in as expected. . .

Do you get it in the silo cans?

Neither I nor the wifey have been able to even complete the grid this time. :-( We shall go out to dinner to celebrate a week ahead of what we hope to be *very* good news and combine efforts on same. Two months of trying these metas led us to assume that the grids would be "gimmes". Prepared to resort to Googling should our collaboration prove to be insufficient.

Between the two of us, the grid was completed. Google did confirm a couple of proper noun answers. We're thinking that the puzzle title may help with coming up with the meta answer. :-)

Directly to the beach!

Back from our three-week cross-country road-trip seeing kids and family. This was a nice reentry.

I'll save the White Negroni for Saturday.

Nice to be back! :-)

On shore. Was about a minute away from a 1st page solution but had to leave the house to coach 15U baseball. Oh well... but another win for the team!
