Congrats!

Funny - I'm just the opposite  After 3 weeks (shockingly) on page 1, cold reality has returned and I'm floundering on this one. I have (I think) all the pieces, but can't figure out how to turn the crank to get the final answer.

Ah, well... I have until Sunday; we'll see!

After last week's debacle, I was glad to grab the RUDder with a steaDY hand and get to shore! Last week was torTURed meandering and this week was (almost) iNSTant recognition of the mechanism. I believe that the drinks are two for ONE at the tiki bar! I'll have a Magners.
Neither I nor the wifey have been able to even complete the grid this time. :-( We shall go out to dinner to celebrate a week ahead of what we hope to be *very* good news and combine efforts on same. Two months of trying these metas led us to assume that the grids would be "gimmes". Prepared to resort to Googling should our collaboration prove to be insufficient.

At least I've made some progress with miss LadyBird's shenanigans. These guys occasionally work the shore at our world famous muck diving site in West Palm.

I almost gave up on the grid too, but I got it. I didn’t even know googling was allowed (?) but I did/had to this time. Very good news? awesome!

I got the grid but don’t see the entry point to the meta.
You’ll find me at the bar where Isaac seems to have a two for one special also!🍸🍸

First time poster and onshore! G & T coming up later today...
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Welcome to the Forum, Benchen71! We are delighted to have a new Muggle! Just let Meg's cabana boy know your gin of choice: Bombay Sapphire, Bluecoat or Hendricks?
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Anita wrote: Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:24 pm Feeling blind. Grid solved without a hitch but am seeing nothing for the meta.
Me too, except I had one minor hitch and had to look up two clues to fill in one square. Had heard of the composer, but wasn't sure of the precise name and had no idea of the crossing answer.
I got nuthin' on the meta. Have totally lost my meta skills lately.

I hadn't heard that name since they sponsored "Shindig" in 1964! Ashore.
I started to enter another one until I discovered that it didn't have enough letters. Took me a while to remember the right one.
