Shenk’s metas to solve are such fun,
but mojo today I have none.
Where did it go, feeling so low,
Well at least the grid is all done!

Running up another tab with Isaac. Balvene 14, single cube please. No clue, but I have come up with a good joke answer, which is some compensation.

Unbelievable! I am on shore! It was a slugfest for sure but persistence paid off. So happy. Can’t wait to share this with my puzzle partner son when he gets home next week. Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday!

Thankfully I was able to solve this meta with the help of a self-correcting rule I gave myself 6 months-or-so ago.

I'll share the tip after the solution drop sunday night - it should be something every meta solver considers when their eyes start crossing.

(and not from the strong drinks Isaac is mixing  )

Darn! I think I may have just broken my streak of last ashore. Finished the grid tonight and couldn’t keep myself from fiddling with an idea that ultimately led me too the meta mechanism and the solution.

The grid was a challenge in that I discovered a couple of new words in the solving. Kind of a two for one deal so to speak.

Late now so I’ll save the verse for later.

Made it ashore!
Could "feel" a nudge as I was solving the grid. Glad I listened!

Been some choppy waters for me this summer. Found my mojo with this one though and made it from start of puzzle to shore rather quickly. Will celebrate with a hazy east coast IPA later today.

ashore - had enough time for a drink with Isaac.

Now toes in the sand, caipirinha in hand. Now I just need to find the location for beaming up.

On shore, tho I needed more than a nudge to redirect from multiple rabbit holes. This was a tough one with a brilliant mechanism. Well done Mr Shenk

I needed a nudge -- the same one I too often need, but since it was the gentlest of reminders, I might submit anyway. Either way, I can always go back to the store in Stockbridge where I saw this and buy it, though as the poet said, "Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby."

Can't even see the shore from where I am at. I think the orchestra just starting playing Nearer My God to Thee. Probably not a good sign.....

Ashore. Spent much of yesterday down various rabbit holes, but found the solution this morning. Can't believe it took me so long.

Since we are on nudge day, a reminder that the most effective method is to PM someone who is on shore with what you have done and where you are stuck. PM'ing a couple is probably most effective for getting a response.

Good luck

Plant me ashore, dear Robert!

Truly a work of art. I had a piece of it that I knew would work, but haven't had the time until I was inspired to finish before much needed sleep late last night, considering today's 7 AM tee time for 18 holes.

Was able to toast muggles everywhere from the 19th hole. Did you feel it? It was with a workaday Bud Light, which hit the spot perfectly in the 85 degree temp & 90% humidity.

My thoughts on the meta partly inspired by watching the Women's Road Race at the Olympics today.

If you make it ashore before curfew
You’ll get stronger if it doesn’t hurt you
Or thusly spake Nietzsche,
The sorry, no public nudges

WARNING; the spoiler is not the answer but a pretty hefty nudge. Relying on the Muggles’ Code of Ethics here. BTW, is there a Muggles’ Code of Ethics?
