I didn't want to say this on the first page for fear of being ticketed by the POE-lice, but how about Wendy, rocking #1 like a boss! And KayW also breaking 30 minutes...
Hear! Hear!
(Truth: Wendy is the POE-lice!)

More limericks, please! These are great.

The Zoom Q&A with Matt Gaffney is 3 weeks away on Tuesday, June 29, at 7:30 PM ET. Look for future details from @Bob cruise director. PM your questions for Matt to Bob, between now & then.

This mechanic gives me the heebie-jeebies. After the correct answer is revealed any general tips and perhaps a few examples of "bracket puzzles" would be a helpful post.
The amazing @BarbaraK has done this for muggles, HERE.

Thank you, Barbara!

On shore. It took a shared brain with my husband, but we got it pretty quickly.

Bob, it was actually the MGWCC puzzle for which (at least one year of) my misspent youth was a ginormous solving aid!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Al, that means a lot, coming from the usual occupant of the #1 slot! THANK YOU!

It's been a fun weekend at Isaac's bar, think I'm staying there. I'm also stuck on MMMM and have been going back and forth between the two which is not helping because now I'm mixing them up. @Ergcat if you haven't been already, the Boulevard Beer Hall is definitely worth a visit if you're still in KC.

I’m on the shore with a 46D cup of coffee. Feels like it’s already 90° here. I slept on the boat with an inkling of what to do and it was all clear to me this morning, save for a few hiccups. On with the remainder of the weekend!

As life opens up and I’m spending more time with people outside my family, it is difficult to explain my new weekend “job” of the the WSJCC to them. When I entered the pandemic I had never heard of this! I sat with friends on a beautiful porch looking out on Table Rock, Hawksbill and Grandfather 🏔 yesterday morning working the grid. They looked on to my puzzle with less than curious eyes… but I’ve dragged other friends in with me so that’s good!

Still LAS. Sounds like a fun solve for those who got a clue for what boat to get in. Love a nudge.

Not quite to shore. Think I know the way, but keep getting jibberish.

Would welcome the opportunity to run my logic by someone and figure out where I have gone astray.

Edited…

On shore with a bit of coaching from Boharr. Merci.

What a cool puzzle.

Well, that was a slog. I’m waterlogged and exhausted from swimming against the riptide. But for my “crossword whisperer”, I’d be waaaayyyy out at sea. Even with the push, it was a satisfying puzzle. More of a 4-rating in my book.

Time for some margs by the beach.
