I call this a hey-wait-a-minute puzzle. The path hits you when you least expect it. Like you’re making a cup of coffee and you stop and go, “Hey, wait a minute.”

As if it’s better not to stare at it. Let your subconscious do the solving.

Deb F wrote: Sat Sep 25, 2021 2:30 pm Like our Cruise Director, I've been immersed in Ryder Cup, so I'm very late in posting. It's clear to me that I am not in possession of "good crossword solver's thinking", certainly this week. Hanging with Isaac, happily, and not figuring on a beach side arrival this week.

Enjoy the weekend, Muggles.
I have never seen so many shots land in places that I am familiar with. And I have never seen so many impossible recovery shots either.

John Rahm made a bunch of unbelievable putts.

Singles tomorrow should be outstanding

Couldn’t agree more on all your comments, Bob. Love where we we ended the day. Enjoy the matches and let’s hope the 4 we need come easily with maybe another 4 for good measure. Deb

Hmm spent a while staring at the puzzle, but nothing seems to be standing out. Can anyone provide a much-appreciated nudge?

Rough week last week. Was sick and not up to solving. So I'm happy for a fun easy-ish puzzle this week.

And ashore!

Sort of got my mojo back....Although I was talking aloud in the car and the driver said something pertinent.

I'll have... a plum floating in perfume served in a man's hat.

Hello from the UK. This is my first time posting though I've lurked in the shadows for a few months reading the conversations. This week's puzzle has got me tearing my hair out. I've been following so many leads that seem promising at first but then peter out after only producing a couple of letters. Can anyone nudge me in the right direction to shore?

*Edit*
With many thanks to a transatlantic friend, I'm now safely ashore.

First time posting. A little nudge request, please. I don't see a connection between the title and the grid.

I can see this is a great group. Thanks for helping me focus in the right direction!

First time I noticed that the sign has been changed to Moe's "Cavern"! Brilliant!

I am pretty sure I am on shore but the final piece wasn't as elegant as normal which leads me to believe I skipped something.

Plenty of time to solve.
Sitting on the Rocky Mountaineer? With bourbon yet! Boy, am I jealous!

 Very similar to my experience - epiphany occurred when I put on my "Solvitur ambulando" t-shirt and enjoyed a lengthy walk in the park.
