Answer to the meta is a body part.

Thanks to Kitchendiva for spotting an error: the clue for 71-Across is "62-Acrosses" but it should be "62-DOWNS."

Ricky, are you following this thread? Got nothing yet on "Thread the Needle". I checked with another Muggle; she doesn't either. Any chance of providing a nudge, through the hidden "Spoiler" feature here?

And please send me my sticker. I sent a message with my address. I have a prominent place reserved in my meta crossword trophy case (LOL, no shortage of space in there).

Several entries, but none of them correct, so I'm extending the deadline until Wednesday at noon, with the following hints:

There are six theme entries.

Three of them are 17-Across, 38-Across and 60-Across.

You have to identify the other three and do something to the first three with them.

Although 58-Across's clue references 38-Across, 58-Across is not a theme entry.

The photo is a hint.

Can anyone make out who is in the eye of the needle in the picture? It is not clear enough on my iPad.

You don't need to make out fine detail in the picture.

Wow, I didn't realize there was anything in the eye of the needle when I picked the picture.

So that's not part of the solution.

But looking at the photo more carefully, it appears to be... Batman?!

I finally got one! I really needed the nudges though.

Edit: Also, something that's initially confusing is actually pretty elegant and a nice touch!

Yeah, I got it with a shove (bigger than a nudge). Nothing really pointing at the process, imo.

I finally got it ... with a shove.

I agree there isn't a lot to suggest the mechanism, but maybe enough, in that something like it had occurred to me fairly early on, but I didn't play with it enough. I might have worked harder at the idea if ... oh, I shouldn't say for those who are still solving.

Now that I think about it, for a quick moment there, the EXACT mechanism occurred to me. But I jumped off it because ... again, I shouldn't say just yet.

Anyway, the meta lesson for me is: Play an idea through before abandoning it. (I can't seem to learn it!)

I have been REALLY trying to solve these metas without a nudge. I have been having mixed success and was on the verge of giving up altogether. A couple of easy ones over the holiday helped rekindle my interest, but I never solved MEOW which was supposed to be easy or the MMMM, but I am planning on starting that one in 2021. I could use a little help on this one.
