Put Your Foot Down (LD#35)

This one may be easy, if you know video games. I don’t, but I finally came up with the answer, vaguely remembering my kids talking about the game, way back in the day.

Not sure how long it's been there, but it's now the top entry at

http://www.lexicondevil.live/

I'm kinda stuck at the part where the answer is described as "a classic video game that debuted in 1998." Does... not... compute...

Submitted my answer which I am confident is correct.
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

LOL, the only video game I have ever played is pong. I think I may take a pass on this one.

RPardoe, you were the first correct answer. However, since you said you didn't want a sticker, Meg is sticker winner #1.

Thanks. As I already have a sticker, don’t need another. Spread the wealth!

Solution above. I don't think it requires too much explanation.

If you aren't familiar with the game:

Congrats to winners Megarrific and Will Eisenberg! Look for an email shortly.

EDIT: final leaderboard

Well that's weird. I got the right answer but didn't use the right method. I just saw Square, Tap, and Light, and thought about how you tap your foot on the lighted squares! Looked up DDR and sure enough, the year was right. (It didn't appear on my original google of games from that year, and I was really trying to make Ocarina of Time or Spyro be the answer.)

I had other "X + dance" and "X + revolution" options on hand, so picking entries with additional words that also described the game action may have been subconscious on my part...

Never got beyond Square Dance and Tap Dance. I tried Industrial Dance.

I somehow missed the solution in my Google search.
