Hi all and welcome to the twenty-third installment of the MEOW! This week's puzzle was co-constructed with DrTom (make up your own joke here.)

Happy solving!

I have an answer. Hopefully, it is the answer--confirmed. Incredible work by Dr Tom. I’ve heard that when he was growing up people laughed when he said he wanted to spend his time making puns. No one is laughing now.

Old judge you are like a loo atop a Dalmatian (Johnny on the spot). I’m sure you have it, but believe me there is as much of Josh in this HILARIOUS puzzle as me. He is responsible for some of the subtler, and often funnier, ones.

Wow I just noticed the time stamp, you were up late (PST), heck a little further West and you could have solved it yesterday.

Katz - outta the bag! (said Mr. Netanyahu to his Finance Minister when the latter took too much for himself...)
Tough puzzle for me. I had to look at some of the entries a good few minutes until I got them, and I think I still haven't gotten them all...
Got the meta though.
Thanks @madhatter5 and @DrTom !

Well, I'd been saving a great cat pic for weeks now for the next time madhatter and DrTom collaborated, but now I find that's it's actually too appropriate! I'll save it for solution post day, or perhaps nudge day.
Meanwhile I'll just have to say - my lips are sealed --

My eyes are tired from rolling so much. They almost rolled back into my head! Actually I really enjoyed this very baaaaad puzzle. Waiting to know for sure that the kitty has departed the suitcase.

Well I’ve heard of craning your neck, but craniuming your eyes, that’s a new one....

"That's Not Funny"?

Yes it is!

In fact, I'd say this puzzle is ... EP(EE)IC!

Now where'd the cat go?

There is a slightly longer version of this story that involves blood donations.
