A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

Dang, I was just in a DEEP rabbit hole on this one. More like a bottomless pit. Finally realized that, if this were truly the basis of the mechanism, the puzzle would have to rate as at least a Week 6 or 7, or a Kas 8, or an F or G Ticket, or a lost James Joyce novel, or ...

Anyway, I'm out of there -- and still stuck on Step 1.

Oops! I just realized, I meant to post this on the MGWCC forum re: "Six Letter Entries"! Shows you how confused I am this weekend!

BUT ... I'm basically in the same place on BOTH puzzles, so this comment re: "On the Rebound" still applies.

I just want to clarify my earlier nudge because someone didn't interpret it the way I intended.

I was referring to the Ping Pong ball in the Northwest corner of the grid. That's the ball you need to bounce around!
