If it's any consolation, it's the one that's given people the most problem. But it's there... it's there.
If it is the one that I think it is, I hope you had a plan B. Maybe tonight we can blank out those who have not gotten the meta and have a lively discussion.

Both were in the WPIX booth, but Red was on the mike and made the call. Rizzuto called it on radio. Holy cow. Yogi was on deck.

Just got to this - and it is absolutely brilliant. Have to admit that I peeked at the nudges, though.

I finally found my way. I needed the first Spoiler to clear away some of the forest so that I could see the trees. Silly assumptions, bordering on arrogance, ignorance or some of both, kept me from seeing the path. This is so well done!

I havenโ€™t solved the meta yet, but I did want to point out that it is quite well known that Rich Koz, who plays Svengoolie, is the greatest living Chicagoan.

Edit: think I got it. Ingenious mechanism!

It was Son of Svengoolie when he started. Jerry G. Bishop was the original and Koz took over after he left, picked by Jerry. Of course when WFLD cancelled the show because it "wasn't dignified" all anyone could think was "duh!"

I don't have the missing piece. But even with three or four missing pieces I knew what the answer was. In any case, it's a great idea for a puzzle.

Yeah, I canโ€™t remember when he โ€œgraduatedโ€ but I remember him being called Son of Svengoolie back in the day. When I was a kid he also had a show where he played himself called the โ€œKoz Zoneโ€ on Saturday mornings where heโ€™d play 3 Stooges shorts with comedy interludes between. I grew up not to far from Berwyn, so that was a treat.

For those who were thereโ€ฆ โ€œBERRRRRWYYYYNNNN!โ€
