Al Sisti wrote: Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:01 am Good morning Muggles, and welcome to Muggle Meta Monday!

This week’s meta is called “Down at the Mall.” As for a rating, I think it’s around a Week 2. Please PM me your solution by 10 PM on Saturday, and as has become the custom, I’ll post a couple snapshots of a leaderboard during the week. Feel free to PM me for nudges, but try to stick with it for a couple days first. If nothing else, there’s always Nudge Wednesday.

One correct solver will be chosen at random and will receive an item of his/her choice from my swag bag (a Blarney Rebel Band CD, a Utica Club keepsake, or a $15 donation to a charity of your choice).

I'm in the building somewhere... but where? Good luck!
So this is like clue? Al in the bar with the Guinness bottle?
It's more like "Where's Waldo?"

I found Al! And, just as we suspected, he had a Guinness in hand. So I’m off the couch and down to the mall.
Great idea and meta, Al. Thanks

2 PM spoiler:

Is there some kind of symbol in the grid that looks like an arrow?

And another, in case I forget the 4 PM spoiler: Yes... yes, there is

Got it! After the nudge. We had the right idea but were looking for something on a larger scale.

I don't think you guys have any idea how much it means to me that so many people have so many different "favorite clues." Seriously, that is just so cool.

Well I guess I should do the 4 PM spoiler now:

There are some interesting "arrow-shaped" graphics caused by the placement of the black squares... that was completely incidental and has nothing to do with the meta.

OOOHH - that hurts.

If they were not Cowboy's gaffes would we be DQ'd

I’m fairly sure I have this correct. I felt like Captain Culpeper from “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World” until spoiler 3 instantly booted me off the couch. Thanks for another great puzzle, Al!

Busy week. I finally go to this puzzle this morning. I went to the SPOILERS right away since I was trying to catch up. They did not seem to help. I ended up filling in a new grid, keeping the title and prompt in mind. I finally saw the way! Fun puzzle.
