Together Again

Post by Bird Lives »

As the Crystals so eloquently put it:

I meta on Monday
And my heart stood still
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron
Somebody told me that
His name was Will
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron

The prompt: The answer describes the lovers in "Much Ado" and many other rom-coms.

Difficulty level. Maybe higher than usual.

I offered this one to Matt Gaffney as a possible guest puzzle for MGWCC. He had to ask for a nudge, and even then I’m not sure that he solved it. As for the guest-puzzle thing, he wrote, “I've done a number of [puzzles with this them] in the past so it'd need to be a mind-blower to revisit again.” Obviously, it wasn’t.

Difficult but not a mind-blower is hardly the prescription for a fun solve. Oh well, the MMM powers that be take what they can get.

PM me with your answer.

Intimidating prompt since I know very little about MUCH ADO,..in fact, ABOUT NOTHING! Lol  (Not a spoiler, folks!)

...But I've solved it and am off the couch... or at least out of my Imperial TIE fighter easy armchair. Thanks for the awesome MMM to start the week!

I think I got it. But if it is what I think it is.... I think the prompt is misleading.

It's a real fun aha moment, though. (Albeit not a very natural one.)

Solved and submitted.
Crosshare submission form appears to have been removed (I just see comments now), so sent PM to Jay for verification.

And Jay PM’d back with confirmation.

Can it be, page one!! Well queue up the victory dance! Not confirmed yet but I am certain of the answer. VERY nice puzzle Bird, and much more satisfying than the MGWCC. He SHOULD have let you use this for his this time because in my mind this is a really good puzzle and well worthy of a guest spot on the MG site - MIND BLOWN!

Off the couch - the pressure is off!

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
