Sounds Like a Plan

Monday (just)!!!!!! And you know what that means - - no, not the Lions vs Packers game. It's MMM!!!

After driving 2,200 miles this past week (PA to FL and back), I'm ready to just sit back and field solving PM's. (And get some feeling back in my legs. . . .)

Thinking this will play at a week 2 level but as you know, I'm bad at assessing difficulty (among other things).

PM me with your answer (or query) by Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. I'll post "solvers" along the way, as well as nudges on Wednesday.

The answer to the meta is a four letter word. Happy solving all!

If Cindy needed a nudge I feel a bit better about being clueless 😅

If Cindy needs a nudge and madhatter5 is clueless us mortals have no hope.

Late start but I am off the 🛋 . Great job by Chris—we missed you buddy! Confirmed. Chris is one of the better Monday meta constructors.

(Test) solved, but since I didn't remember the answer, I solved it again today. Pretty solid puzzle, Chris!

I was just on 91A yesterday! Not that that’s helped me to solve the meta yet…

I'm coming up with some four-letter words right now, but none are appropriate here. Lol
(Actually, I feel very close to solving but just can't seem to make that last connection.)

Edited: Now solved and submitted... Thanks, Chris! And in four-letter words, VERY WELL DONE! :D

Submitted.

Update: off the couch

I had a lot of trouble with the grid but was able to discover the meta mechanism quickly.

Not clueless but missing the last step.... (Or I don't know how to count)

.... Oh.... I really couldn't count!

I'm either off the couch or slipped behind a cushion.

Edit: Confirmed. Fun... A bit tricky and wee-est bit obscure but very clever and original and fun.

(The easiest parts were the absolute last things I got.)

Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.
