I Made A British Thing!

Hi all,

I have made my first foray into cryptic crosswords! You can find the drive with the pdf and puz files here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

And the web-hosted version here:

http://crossword.info/madhatter5/I_Made_a_British_Thing

Note that I have not provided the solutions. This is because I think the clues are on the tougher side and so I wanted to make it into a contest and see who can solve it first. First to send me the correct completed grid gets to decide on the theme for an upcoming MEOW! (Yeah, because I know that's what you've all been hoping for :) )

Note also that this puzzle has NOT been test-solved and that as I mentioned it is my first cryptic, so forgive me if there are any mistakes. There is absolutely no warranty and you play at your own risk.

Good luck!

Edit: You can email the completed grid to jdrubin@middlebury.edu

Grid submitted via PM (PUZ File).
A bit rough, but got the grid done.

How are you guys able to PM attachments? None of the files I tried to attach went (e.g., ".puz extension not allowed"). Do I need some kind of permission I don't have?

Nothing worked for me. In fact, it never has. Do we have his email address? I thought I did, but I don't.

Yep, tried all that...I think Brian said once that I needed some permissions that only the administrator could give me.

Is the solution available anywhere? I am learning cryptics and only to the point where I have to work to “get it” even with the answer.
