Still haven't gotten 23A, but I had been working with the wrong 14D for a while.

Yeah. I had the wrong 14D, too. Finally figured out 23A and then got 14D. Still lacking 25 and29 A and 22 and 25D. Took me way too long to figure out 1A, then things started to flow. Totally stumped on that SW corner.

Never heard of "bucatini". Glad I didn't need to have the print version of the OED in order to look it up.

I’m missing 6a. I have the crossing letters, I believe. But …

PM sent - but for 6D (I am also missing 6A in my copy of the grid. )

I think I've got it. I had the wrong 25D, so my 25A didn't make sense, but I've fixed it now. I'm pretty sure I groaned audibly at several answers.

Thanks, Hoover. You made me look back at what I had for 25D, which I didn't really like, but couldn't come up with anything else. Changed one letter and everything fit and allowed me to finish up with 25A and 22D.
