Glad to have a regular crossword meta again. And a fun one at that.

I wonder if some people will get the answer without seeing the last step and think it a bit inelegant when it's actually all neatly tied up.

I pretty sure I have it. Can I PM someone for confirmation?

[edit] I'm 100% on this. Agree with Barbara about last steps.

Got it.

EDIT: Took a nudge, but now I have it wrapped up.

Solved. Great puzzle by Foggy!

I donโ€™t have time to invest in the Puzzle Boat, but definitely wish I did. Good luck to everyone pulling a crew together!

I am so excited to see the puzzle pack on Saturday. And I am so pleased with those that have joined the Kitchendiva boat! We all wish we had more time - we will just do the puzzles when we should be sleeping!

No, just the pdf

Joe would probably make an excel for online solving if anyone asks.

I will, Barbara. Thank you. Please ask, as long as it is not a puzzle to which you don't subscribe.

It's difficult to keep up with which are subscription-based & which aren't. Also, as in the case of crosshare.org's excellent puzzles, the creators instruct that or may prefer solving & submitting via the online form for tracking statistics.

I'd rather that the creators tell me that published spreadsheet forms for their puzzles are allowed & wanted. I do not want to post without permission nor deter traffic from creators' websites.

As it stands, I create Excel forms & publish links for WSJCC (permission received) & MMM (permission assumed - Creators: let me know if you'd rather not). I also create & share MGWCC & MMMM with subscribers who let me know that they want them. I have created for other metas posted here, but I am not 100% sure that creators welcome them, nor if muggles use them.

FWIW: The most effective use of Excel for solving puzzles is for the WSJ weekly Number Puzzles, Killer Sudoku, in particular, if other nerds, like me, solve them.

Anyone may PM me with questions or comments, or post to the Solving ... Metas Using Excel topic. Your ideas & feedback are welcome & essential. Severe criticism is welcome, but may be better left for PMs. ;)

Got it! Fun! (Not submitting) Still a little confused on one point, but overall a great puzzle.

Edit: Probably my confusion is due to not seeing the last step that Barbara mentioned, I'll look further.

Edit 2: O.K., NOW I got it all. And yes, it is possible to get the answer without quite understanding everything :-) Thanks for mentioning that everything should tie together neatly!
