Fun puzzle—thanks for posting it! A little more challenging(at least for me) than last weeks, but this one was not over Ked. Is there any reason why solutions go up so early on these? I never look at them but might it be better to wait until Sunday morning or at least Saturday night? Just a thought.

I don’t remember how I stumbled onto the National Post cryptic website, but the postings are made by “Falcon”. He also posts a daily solution to the puzzles from Britain’s The Daily Telegraph. Falcon is pretty consistent at posting the Saturday C&R puzzle around 8:30-9am each Saturday (unless he’s away camping, it seems).

He then posts the solution (which he creates himself) at all different times, including later in the morning, afternoon, the next day or sometimes never. There are about a dozen or so who regularly post comments to the Saturday puzzle, including yours truly. Seems like a pleasant group.
