Perceptive ones among you will note no declarations of victory this past week on my part. Silence is, if not violence, at least an admission, this time anyway.

This may be my comeuppance for setting such, for me, ambitious goals in a public forum and being so overconfident as to predict I’d get a sub 10 by Tuesday. And I’m not even a Millennial.

But I declare, in the spirit of Scarlett O’Hara, that tomorrow is another day! Monday and Tuesday are coming up, and I’m going to be, perhaps not tanned, but rested, caffeinated and ready to try the various approaches suggested by the experts here.

Getting there! I consider that close to victory. It’s a big improvement. Although the puzzle also seemed easier than usual today, even for a Monday. I did a mix of across then down, plus going by areas, using the program that skips completed letters.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will keep you posted. Ive been using my iphone, will try the desktop this afternoon.

12 mins Monday and 19 minutes today. However! I will fight to the last. I am going to get... that... caterpillar! (sesame street reference if anyone knows it).

How to identify as a non-Millennial without actually saying it -- throw a Gone With The Wind reference into the next sentence. :)

It’s the first time I’ve felt inspired to use that particular one. Although I have used others from that film, including one from Rhett Butler. Good reminder though that that film is OUT these days. The book is even better than the movie btw. Astonishingly richly detailed.

I really thought today would be the day I would break ten minutes. I started so well, every answer came to me in a flash. Until the bottom right part of the puzzle.
