Accessing old WSJ puzzles

#1

Post by iggystan »

I have been working through the various WSJ puzzles (normal crosswords, acrostics, varieties, etc.) and had been using the web address: blogs.wsj.com/puzzle/yyyy/mm but that link doesn't appear to work anymore. I contacted the technical help, but all they suggested that it was some problem with cookies. I tried a few browser add-ons that didn't help. Anyone else experiencing this problem. This is the error I get: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. (And the page shows this: <Error>
<Code>AccessDenied</Code>
<Message>Access Denied</Message>
<RequestId>1AAG4QAPFTZNPYQP</RequestId>
<HostId>

</HostId>
</Error>)
Any suggestions?

Check the first post in this thread for a link to all past WSJ contest puzzles. Don't know what to tell you about the non-contest puzzles.

WSJ urls and puzzle tags are notoriously inconsistent, especially for the variety puzzles. If you want a link to all the cryptics, they are here: http://chall.us/hex/hex_all_wsj.html
