Meta Calendar

#1

Post by Abide »

With approval of BrianMac, the forum has added a Meta Calendar which can be accessed by clicking on the beach picture at top right. Thank you to Joe Ross for technical expertise.

Clicking on any calendar event will provide information on downloads, deadlines, etc.

PM me for any suggestions, additions, or errata.

The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

I noticed this earlier today. Very nice; I'm presuming MMMM wasn't added for March due to back-dating? I already signed up for the (new to me) picture-puzzle meta listed on there...

MMMM was there yesterday, but may have rolled off. Thanks for pointing that out; let me get with “tech support”.

Yes, MMMM "aged-off" due to its date being in the past, 3-1-2021.

Click to April & beyond and MMMM will show, along with all future puzzles.

All thanks go to Peter Abide for conceiving of & editing this calendar. Thank you, Peter!

Try this, also, Peter:

http://localendar.com/public/xword-muggles?current_only=N

with the key change being the "N" for "Y" at the end of the URL.

Another option, but modifying the current link by changing the "N" to "Y":

https://localendar.com/public/xword-muggles?style=M4&show_past=Y
Whole blood, platelets, or plasma: Donate 4 in 2024

PLATELET 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 ENORMOUS 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲:
𝟰𝟬% 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰,
𝟯𝟬% 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰,
𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 & 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮. 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘!

Request: Can links in the little window open in a new window, instead of inside the little window?

Yup, I can do that, but I want to be even lazier. :)

This is really incredible work. So much detail and so many links.
A handy reminder for us all, but I can also see it being incredibly useful to newbies.
After all, when I first joined I recall needing a nudge to figure out who Isaac was.

Looking through the support forums, I don't think what you are asking is doable. I did increase the size of the little pop-up window.

Really great work, Peter! Thanks again for putting it together. I know Joe also helped, so thanks is due there too.

I'm hoping to find a way to do a more permanent or more normal link because I know the beach picture doesn't always show up on a phone (even if you turn it sideways).

DOH! The scales have fallen from mine eyes...

When you click on a puzzle in the calendar a new window does open. Maximize it at the top-right corner.

To have the details open in a new tab, right-click, etc.

Sheesh...
