The wifey agreed to give one of these fancy, weekly Matt G. puzzles a try today, but we haven't figured out to how print one without having already been exposed to the answer. Bet there's a simple solution. . .

I gloated a bit here on the forum, then gloated big time to the family, especially through the holidays, saying, “See that place on the mantel? That’s where my mug will go.” But I still haven’t gotten my mug! Around that time I had finally switched to a personal gmail address (from my old business email address), so it’s possible this had something to do with the problem. They may have sent the mug to our old, now closed business office! The street address for that may have still been in the signature of the email template I used to submit my answer to the October 11 puzzle. Anyway ... Is there someone I can contact at WSJ? Maybe they’d send another mug. I WANT MY MUG!!!!!
Should have posted an update long ago. I've had my mug for what must be over a year now.

Bumping this up, as no one has posted here in all of 2022. Where are the board regulars who have won a mug this year? Show us pictures, or relive your glory with us here!

I just got mine today (9/19/22). I won for "Power Play," 8/5/22. They no longer encourage the winner to read ambitiously. Reverse side of mug says THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. It arrived in 6 weeks, 2 days.

Apparently this is where you post any crossword accolades? Well let me try to join this hallowed group. Here are my rewards for being a guest constructor on the MGWCC (Tentative Meta).

My wife has long claimed that I'm the luckiest person she knows. Winning an MMMM mug on the 2nd or 3rd month I ever played (March 2022, I don't think I even knew what a meta was as of December 2021) does nothing to help prove her wrong. No such luck on the WSJ front, though! I suspect I'll never win that one- I probably only solve 1/3rd of those, and I think the pool of entrants is much larger than the MMMM.

The package made a clinking sound like costume jewelry, so I was not surprised that the handle was busted into four pieces. I was going to use it as a pencil cup or maybe regift it to another Muggle anyway, so I'm not going to ask for a replacement.
