#9 - "The In Thing"

Published weekly by expert constructor Peter Gordon, the Fireball crossword is famous for being hard. How hard? Well, in the words of Peter Gordon, if you need to ask, too hard for you! It is not regularly a meta crossword, but does feature a contest or meta puzzle several times throughout the year. Available here for a subscription: http://www.fireballcrosswords.com

Meta not super hard, but clever.

Grid harder than meta. Agree with Hector that meta is clever and not too hard to see. I much prefer food metas to sports metas.

Tough grid, good meta. This is one of those constructions where I wonder "which came first?"

Grid took a while (I dozed off twice!). Meta, much faster.

Fireball level grid, week 1.5 meta IMO.

Big fan of Longo’s variety puzzles so it was nice to see his byline in the email.
