A good starter puzzle IMO (and I am newish to these myself) would be something like APP DEVELOPER or KT OLSIN then maybe try a JEFFERSON AIRPLANE. I would show a new solver a PGW puzzle as a starter before this puzzle.
APP DEVELOPER was my very first solve, followed by JEFFERSON AIRPLANE! And then I soon got walloped by ADOBE, but I was hooked by then. :D
Trying as usual to make some bird names out of your upper cases, LadyBird.
Hmmmmm..........Why is this not working..........?

Done (Thursday) and done (just now).

Wow, did I ever struggle with this one. I didn't even get the first step until this morning. Glad the Eagles aren't on TV down here, otherwise that might have been a higher priority. Then again, based on what I hear right now (just after 4PM ET), I really lucked out on both accounts!

Highlighters are back in the mug. Thanks for the help.

Stay safe, all.

Still slogging along. I may be headed for the wrong beach, but I've spotted something I didn't see before. Whether they're mer-rabbits, sharks, or dolphins, I have yet to find out.

Edit: nudge? I'm ready to spend time on something other than this puzzle...

LAS. Still stuck with 4 letters of gibberish. I can partially go further with another step (rabbit hole?), but cannot seal the deal.

Put me down as enjoying the ship and keeping Isaac company this week. Actually, I hate for my success streak to end and I would rather be on shore, but I don’t see it happening this week.
Guess I’ll move on to the extra meta for Thursday.

I watched the Eagles. It was dreadful, just a train wreck. Even wearing my lucky t-shirt didn't help.

Done. Clever Fun puzzle Mr. Gaffney!

I humbly submit a request that muggles refrain from posting what they think are “clever” comments and/or hints but which are more often than not poorly disguised spoilers... save the clever comments for after the deadline please.

Beached, we'll see if it's the correct one.

Onshore due to a gentle nudge from TPS. Since the answer was going to be my Hail Mary, I suppose I’ll submit.

An aside -- any Reaganites out there might recall "Where's the Rest of Me?" is the title of RWR's autobiography. :D

I seem to be very, VERY far along but am having trouble making that final step. If anyone is willing to nudge, let me know!

Edit: NEVERMIND! Five more minutes of staring and I found it. Ashore!

TPS wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 6:39 pm Thank you to all of you who have reached out - I really appreciate it. The sheer number of you who have reached out is a testament to how nice everyone is in this community.

I have the answer and method.

So technically I am onshore but only in the sense that I know the answer - I was walked through it step by step and even with nudges at each step I had to be given the answer. I could not have independently gotten even one step in this puzzle...so I am awed at the people who could solve this one especially quickly (and also dismayed about some people’s perception of reality that found monopoly or morse code too esoteric for a meta but thought these mental gymnastic are fine).
I'm one of those who didn't get monopoly or morse code...but did get this one. I didn't have to google anything. (That's one reason. There are others but I don't think anyone would appreciate me saying anymore...as it would definitely be a spoiler)

Ashore. Basically belly flopped in the water and had to be towed to shore! I'll elaborate Monday where I went astray...

Thanks for the nudges!

Granddaughters left after fortnight,
Feet up; grid finished; no bright light.
Wine winning over solution,
Head nodding - at sea for duration!
One world. One planet. One future.
