Reality check: I actually will be doing that mulling over while in my own flower garden- currently 1/2 way through bloom season for 150 peonies. Every one a faithful friend.

Working it ...
Likely to be with Isaac for a while. Time to get reacquainted.
Have a Safe and Happy - and masked, if needed - 4th of July!

This one is a KAS 1 Billion for me.
On another note - I finally decided to buy MG’s book. We will see how long that lasts before I end up setting it on fire!

7 for 9 is nothing to sneeze at.Joepickett wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:52 am I was 7 for 9 since starting these. Guess I'm going to be 7 for 10. No clue.

And if it keeps you up all night as it percolates? See a shrink? Drink more?BarbaraK wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 6:43 amIt’s only Friday. You have lots of time yet. Keep the grid around and take a peek from time to time. Sleep on it. Let it percolate in your unconscious. That aha moment may well hit you.Joepickett wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:52 am I was 7 for 9 since starting these. Guess I'm going to be 7 for 10. No clue.

Well I doubt it’s right but after 6-7 hours working on this I’ve decided I am going to submit something - it was one of the two things I thought the answer might be before I even started the grid just based on the prompt.
Now I think I am going to hit some golf balls and shoot some guns (possibly at my print edition of the WSJ).

Great D-12! Found a D-32 and made my way to shore, by D-53.
Innovative puzzle. D-52 of a A-10, but wearing A-28 at the Tiki bar having some D-6 with Rioja.

On shore, more quickly than anticipated, having read some of the comments before solving. Quirky indeed.

Why I'll have one too - my favorite combo. For something very summer refreshingy try the Fever Tree Pink Grapefruit and vodka of your choice- all of their mixers are soooo good!Scott Medvetz wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 4:46 pm Well that was different! Time for a Hendricks & Fever Tree Elderflower tonic.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Just started/finished the grid, which I thought was much easier than yesterday. Now on to the meta, I think . . . .
