What are you viewing? So we watch GOT (Game of Thrones) through this time of isolation, then after we finished we started Sopranos...nah, a bit much, so...we start watching The Stand
Back to Sopranos tomorrow..

wait, you thought that Sopranos was a bit much compared to GoT?
then don't watch The Wire.
We're finishing the first (and so far only) season of The Mandalorian - it's really good, and I find it quite funny in parts. I'm also about half-way through my third reading of The Thorn Birds and afterwards plan to find the miniseries to watch.
Wife and I watched "First Man" (the story about Neil Armstrong) and last night watched "Hidden Figures" (the story about the black women who did quite a bit of the math behind the Mercury launches, pre-computers). Amazing people in both.

Disclaimer: I like lighthearted comedies and am completely out of touch with anything current, I mostly watch shows that I missed the first time around. I'd never watch The Stand, GoT, or Breaking Bad even in normal times.
Stuff I've watched somewhat recently:
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - Excellent so far, 3 seasons on Amazon
Doctor Who - Mostly Doctors 9-12, haven't seen any with Jodie Whittaker yet.
Chuck - First season is the funniest, gets a little tired in later seasons but still entertaining
Psych - Watched this one on USA (I think) until we got rid of cable around halfway through the run, and recently decided to finish it online. Still very funny.

I never did get around to The Sopranos, but I've been binge watching Nurse Jackie, which also Stars Edie Falco, and I'm loving that. Just my kind of dark humor / anti-hero (heroine in this case).

BOSCH Season 6 doned binged, already (Amazon Prime & based on Michael Connelly's very good novel series).
That & Killing Eve (3rd season started last Sunday on BBC America & AMC) are my faves in the last 5 years. Nothing is darker than Killing Eve. Jodie Comer as Villanelle is fantastic.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime) is also great. If you're a Gilmore Girls fan, you'll love MMM.

For anyone not yet on the Brooklyn Nine-Nine train, cannot recommend that one highly enough. Also, for new shows, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist has been keeping me amused. And if you want a show with basically 0 stakes where nothing remotely distressing ever occurs, BBC's The Repair Shop available on Netflix (literally people bring broken family heirlooms in to be fixed, they get fixed, and everybody leaves happy every time) is a great option. It's even lower stakes than The Great British Baking Show (which is also a great relaxing TV experience) because there's no competitive element to it.

Absolutely loved The Repair Shop!!

second vote for Bosch - I only watched seasons 1 & 2, but the "take a police procedural and run a single case for an entire season" works very well, and his acting is great.

Sappy, tear jerky, and delightful - Anne with an E
Weird and complicated at times - Stranger Things
Who doesn't like America to run smoothly - West Wing
Good British crime drama (but aren't they all!) - The Fall
Something else to make you hungry, as if that was necessary - Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat - Ugly Delicious - Chef's Table
Mindless, slapstick silly, belly-laughs - The IT Crowd
Cowboy cruel - Deadwood
From the Office to Officer in CIA - Jack Ryan (with John Krasinski)
Felicity goes Rogue with a side (and occasionally a front) of Keri Russel you didn't see before - The Americans
Guilty Pleasure no matter now many times you watch - Downton Abbey

My wife and I have an 11-year old son, so we watched all the Marvel movies in chronological order. That was fun. Not sure what we'll do next...

Wasn't crazy about the mini-series, but loved the book (20 years ago). Perhaps time for a re-read?

TPS FTW
BTW, my grad-school indy rock band recorded a song that plays while a character is washing dishes in Halt & Catch Fire. So, kind of a big deal.

TV shows never make me cry but the first episode of Anne with an E - always makes me tear up. If some told me if I didnβt cry theyβd shoot me Iβd turn on that episode.
I also like Stranger Things but only for Steve Harrington and Hopper (occasionally Nancy) - I literally hate everyone else on that show.

I love that show - Truth be told I would probably have it in my Top five over Deadwood but since like no one has scene it - it always becomes an argument. Plus, Deadwood finally having a proper ending makes a better case for it. Honestly, I would have had it in over Twin Peaks but the revival season of Twin Peaks was a masterpiece - there are probably only 2-3 other seasons of any show as good as that season of Twin Peaks.

can't spell America without Erica.
she was the best thing about Stranger Things - perfect casting.
Hopper without a shirt - OMG, nasty.

My youngest son insisted I should watch Halt and Catch Fire. Watched 4 seasons in 3 days. When it was over and we could talk about it, all he could talk about was a) that one gut-wrenching episode in Season 4 and b) the soundtrack.

Mostly old favorites, the video equivalent of comfort food -- "Chuck" "The Good Place" "Cheers" "Kim's Convenience."

I almost never watch TV but I've been looking forward to the Last Dance every Sunday night. It's a ten-part documentary on the 1990s Chicago Bulls.
