After some heavy googling (me not Tim) on the grid. We are ashore. Fun one.

Jane has joined us on the beach. I'm not sure what she's having for celebration but Racer 5 IPA for me.
I prefer my kale with a silent K.

Swift swim to shore, as everything fell into place smoothly. Looks like a crowd already raising quite a 26D this 8D.

On the beach!

Found the mechanism earlier this afternoon, but got my wires crossed and stalled out.
Then laying in bed in the dark right now, hours later, without even looking at the grid, I realized my mistake. The solution was obvious.

Admiring the big night sky from the beach now. Will have a celebratory drink tomorrow. Good night!

Made it to shore! I like to read the comments here before trying to solve (I do it the old fashioned way on paper on Fridays) and the most common word for this one seems to be ‘fun’. I agree, thanks Matt.

I'm onshore! Good to see you all again. Two weeks in a row, for the first time.

Made it to shore after @BarbaraK confirmed one of my observations. I guess it was a fun one, once you’re headed in the right direction. I’ll see if I can find a gin & tonic tonight somewhere in this campground.
