Drink Recipe - February 2024

A monthly, music-themed meta crossword published at noon on the first Tuesday of every month. The puzzles increase in difficulty each month, and at year end there is a 13th puzzle (the "Mega-Meta") that invokes each of the 12 monthly puzzles. Currently available at https://pmxwords.com/, as well as through the Washington Post website here: MMMM at WaPo

I'm pretty sure I have it but will mull it over as I can't make it lock for me. Lots of time.

Update: on the board. Still not a huge lock for me and will be interested to see the discussion.

Stay well all

Took me a bit longer than I expected to understand what Pete and team wanted us to do... But I got there eventually.

I have an idea, but it's not a tight elegant answer as I would expect from MMMM. So I'll keep thinking.

EDIT: Doh! I get it now. Good one!

Looked at this off and on this afternoon. Nothing jumps out to me other than the obvious (presumed) theme grid fill. Not sure how the title applies.

Lots of time left this week to think on this. Seems hard for February. I wonder if the new puzzle crew that Pete has will be making these harder this year.

On the board. :D
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

On the board. Could have submitted earlier but I wasn't sure of my answer. Submitted after I couldn't come up with anything else 🙃
