Looks like I just missed the latest beam but no doubt here, nice to have a simple (yet no less elegant) one this week.

Don't know why I bother to try downs only. Didn't do too badly. But didn't do it... not really.

Anyway... got it and awaiting beam. But not really anything note-worthy about my performance though.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

So I’m 100% confident in the team, it’s how exactly to enter that made me hesitate, but hoping the comment I added will appease Mr G.

Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Nice straightforward solve, I'll take it! This weekend is going to be busy. Awaiting beam.

Edit: Beamed in at an impressively high yet symmetric #282. 😂

This was a fine, well-constructed, and absolutely doable puzzle but... I'm not sure I "get" it.

EDIT: Oh, now I do. Well, the last little bit I don't really get but I think we probably don't need a reason for that detail.

On the board. Since the arrival was not until 3 pm, we waited to solve along with preprandial dinner drinks.

Downs-only, no-instructions, submitted without peeking…

Incidentally, I came here afterwards and saw some posts that hinted at the theme… it didn’t turn out to be a spoiler but a gentle reminder to be careful with comments when there are “no instructions” options (I usually stay away until afterwards, but sometimes will poke in to see if the puzzle is even gettable downs-only, no-instructions)

With my streak at 0, I was going to enter STEELERS just for the sake of solidarity. Maybe next year.

Awaiting beam up. Confident in answer. Unlike I was once the Eagles lost their first game in December. There seems to be justification for the traditional Philly Phair Weather Phan.
