"Who Says?" - January 3, 2020

Happy New Year muggles

This weeks contest is titled "Who Says?" by Matt Gaffney

The answer to this week's contest crossword is a series you can find on YouTube.

This may be a problem for those of us who did not even know that there were series on YouTube.

Safely home... Guinness please (first of the year, if you don't count yesterday).

Gettable before the grid is completely filled in. I’m on the beach with my usual margarita on the rocks. The margarita is on the rocks. Not me. That would be painful. Happy new year all muggles everywhere!

Google first led me to a YouTube series that seemed way too obscure. Then I stepped back and realized there’s a better answer that even I’ve heard from of.

On shore ... and since it's my first time in a while, first round's on me! Happy 2020, all.

Either quite easy (got it 1/3 of the way through the grid) or a serious pageant. Gonna stew on it, but I'm calling myself on shore.

On shore. Yeah, didn't seem too difficult.

On shore...although I agree with others. Won't be submitting until Sunday.

Yeah! Good way to start out the year! On shore for sure after landing on some wrong beaches the last few weeks...

I'll call myself on shore, but after some post-submission Googling (always Google first, folks! This has been a PSA) I suspect that my answer deviates from the intended answer in a small but significant way.

I always get alarmed when something SEEMS to fall easily.

I will, with some trepidation, claim to be on shore. We'll see.

On the beach! 🏖 🍺

We poured Guinnesses to watch the Bearcats, which promptly went into a lightning delay! So I printed the puzzle. Here I am!

And my MMMM mug just arrived!!!

What was that expression? Sometimes it all just comes together...
