On shore. Pursued a few dead ends but finally made it. Fun time.

Briefly signed onto Zoom yesterday to confirm that I was on the right track. Got back to it this morning and am now ashore. Decaf, please.

Ashore. Cute and clever as always. Easier than some of the recent ones.

What a pleasure to read all these posts. Like many others, we are at something that must be the right step one and trying to find step two. Hoping for the light to come on as it did for most of you and enjoying the time with Isaac for now!

Made it ashore with a little help after my first answer turned out to be a big ol' rabbit hole...
Nice puzzle.

Working on a slow swim to shore while visiting daughter and son-in-law in Dallas with my 5 week old grandson but getting distracted easily by the little nugget. Hopefully one of my ideas will show me the sand. Happy New Year to all!

Solved while on the road to visit daughter, SIL, and granddaughter. Now that I’m on the shore, I’m wondering how Mr. Hidden can possibly see out the rear view mirror with all the presents in the back of our SUV. It took me longer than it should have to figure out the metanism on this one, but what a great AHA moment! Thanks Matt!

My understanding is that Matt Miller of the WSJ will reply to the winning e-mail, so no information is needed in the message body.

Be warned: heartbreak awaits. :)

After spending way too much time chasing a promising (fool's gold ) rabbit, I called out for a tow rope to pull me free. Thanks @ship4u for towing me out of the mess I found myself in and nudging me toward solid ground.

As a result, I am ashore and looking for a Smithwick's Red Ale. Don, please toss me one if you have any left.

Happy New Year all
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

I now consider myself on shore.

However, several episodes into the annual Twilight Zone marathon, I have little certainty it's the right shore. Or planet, for that matter.

Have a good weekend, and see you all next year.

Ashore. As with others, step 1 seemed obvious enough. Step 2 took a moment to pop out.

Happy New Year to all! I'd say "And good riddance to 2023," but I've been using a line like that for a few years now without it helping much. Also, 2023 turned out to be, at least for me, a lot better than the previous couple of years. So I'm not sure I'm expecting 2024 to be better.

So instead, I'll say that I'll raise a glass to making it through another year, with high hopes that we can make it through next year too. And thanks to the Muggles who provide a nice oasis (and Tiki Bar) throughout it all.
