That would be an ultra-rare badge!

Awaiting the beam... [Nice one, if somewhat meta-adjacent to mine!]

... and I'm beamed at #202.

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Didn't know the wife trivia.

It is most certainly a week #1 but I wonder if he is deliberately messing with us and intentionally plying with a common frustration one has with metas (usually week 2+s) where you figure the first step is clear sailing and .... you get a mess and you can't figure out what to do with it. I can just imagine matt chuckling "But what if ...."
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

I'm not beamed yet, but I'm sure I will be. I'll be joining the grumbleyuck crowd. And adding my own yeesh.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

I have $14 that says my incorrect WAG was and will be the darkest answer submitted. It'd be sobering if I could control my chuckling.

Solved but is it just me, or is the grammar/syntax kind of non-crosswordy on 57A and 52A?

I think it's some misprints in the PDF, the clues in the PUZ file are correct:

52A: "Gladiator" and "Evil Dead Rise" have one
57A: Shed tears

Thank you so much for explaining, Schmidzy! I, too, wondered about that.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

On the PDF the clue for 52A is "'"Gladiator" and "Evil Dead Rise"" which is an acceptable but hard clue. The clue in the PUZ file is better.

57A in the PDF is "She tears" which is just a typo that rather regrettably doesn't look like a typo and would be a valid clue for another answer.
