Amended Contest Instructions for MGWCC #794
Dear Solver,
This one is playing tougher than intended, so I'm amending the contest instructions. The new instructions are:
This week’s contest answer, which would have made a logical final theme entry, is a person often seen on the news whose name is enumerated (4, 6).

Solved thanks to fun Discord group effort. Click a little softer than usual, unless I'm missing something.

I participated in that Discord, and my thoughts really weren't cogent, so I'm not going to submit for this one. @ajk is on his game today.
I'ts a clever metanism... I appreciate the idea and its execution. Not sure I would have seen this approach & solution or not (what I had going on was very shiny and seemed applicable to the title, so I would have foundered there I think). Happy weekend, all!

Acceptable to count as a group (non-solo) solve in my mindHeadinHome wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 2:14 pm I participated in that Discord, and my thoughts really weren't cogent, so I'm not going to submit for this one. @ajk is on his game today.

Nowhere, nothing, no how. Gonna be a perfect week-end.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Beamed!
I was in the Discord for a couple of minutes (then had to vamoose), but it was enough to nudge me slightly, so I identified this as a group solve.

Saw the metanism on my own but needed some help from @ajk and @Andrew Bradburn to get the answer.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Out of my wheelhouse and tough even to Google until I realized something. Submitted with about 92% confidence, we shall see...
Edit: Whew! On the board at #50.
Edit #2: This may not have been my favorite meta, but I have to say I really like the title!

Confidently awaiting the beam! Saw the answer on my own, but needed confirmation from @ajk before I felt sure enough to submit.

I think it might sort of be puzzledom jargon to say that a name "is enumerated (4,6)." In case that is unfamiliar, all it means is that there is a 4-letter first name and a 6-letter last name.

I had to take a deep breath before submitting when the leaderboard was still empty at 12:16. But sometimes you shoot your shot and the ball goes in!

Awaiting the beam... [solved this one with an assist at the finish, so definitely not a solo solve]
... and I'm beamed!

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Waiting on the beam after collecting some Discord breadcrumbs and a kindly nudge. Tough for a week 3 even with the amended prompt.
