Submitted at 12:03... fingers crossed. ETA: Woohoo, first on the board. Another 1-Across achievement!

Liked this idea.

This was my best chance to get 1-Across, haha. @docison, I tip my hat to you.
Less cross words, more crosswords.

Right? Pretty ballsy move by Adam with a 276 week streak... and he already had (at least) one 1-Across. Congrats to you both!

Thanks! I view my streak as 51% albatross around my neck and 49% source of pride (though those percentages shift from week to week) - sometimes you just gotta go for it, consequences be darned.

That was my thought; unfortunately I saw the email at 12:04 (one minute post-docision). I did do the rare (for me) move of submitting when 2/3 done with the grid when my thought was confirmed. I'm happy to get on at #16 and I'm also relieved I didn't submit too hastily as my original thought was slightly inaccurate.

Beamed at #20, though I admit that if my streak was longer I might have been a bit more timid

I have beamed! Actually started right away for once, but still #58. I don't expect to ever get the 1-Across badge :-)

Beamed aboard fairly quickly. Still no idea about the WSJ.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

I think I'm beaming. Have a ticket in hand. Hope it's valid.

It is!

I shouldn't have hedged. The answer is 100%, once thinking it through.

Beamed! Seemed like more of a week 1 than last week's week 1. There were 12 successful solvers on the board prior to my receiving the puzzle in my inbox at 12 minutes past the hour. Now back to the WSJCC. I'm not seeing anything yet.

Well. I have an answer that's a 43 percenter.

I'm going to sit on it for a while.

EDIT decided to submit. Found a few non meta things that kind of... and I figure if it's harder than I'm making it not so many people would have been successful.

Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

beamed up....was thinking it was a bit too forward then saw a couple of things that pushed it up to strong feeling it was the answer.
