On shore. With airport waiting and flights yesterday, I was anticipating having a lot of time to work on WSJ and MGWCC. But I got the meta so quickly, I used that time for reading and napping.

Good Saturday morning muggles

A very crowded shore with 234 on it but we are not close to the record of 290 -- yet. (which was set July 1 of last year with Cover Band by MG and the answer was Aaron Neville)

And we have several new muggles this week - TannerJGross, Perceval's Turtle, brendon, Fanky_T and PapZ who became our 1300th muggle.

So our long list of those on shore includes:

Announced my status on shore earlier. But I really am back on shore now after solving in the middle of the Caribbean. Once again, I looked for muggles in the game room area but there were none to be found. Has anyone ever produced a “muggle” T shirt in which I could casually stroll through the game room? I promise to cross my arms in front when passing through any ship’s bars.

If you read this far, 14 pages of ashore responses. Let me add some excitement to this thread.
I am on a trip to Israel with 25 other people. First time I had a chance to print the puzzle was late on Friday evening. I fell asleep filling in the grid, after a full day of going up Masada and floating in the dead sea. I woke up early on Saturday, filled in the grid, solved the puzzle, submitted the answer, and continued with the tour that today included a driver up the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, a walk around Caesaria, a drive up to Haifa, getting a glimpse of the famous bahai gardens and check in to the hotel. From there a small group of us decided to attend a peaceful political demonstration that was taking place only a few miles away. Leaving the rally, I managed to trip and fall without using my hands to block my fall. I fell face first on asphalt. The first thing I screamed was "I broke my nose" . While in the emergency room being treated by a wonderful staff, in a country of socialized medicine, I kept thinking about how glad I was that I submitted early. I am now writing this post from the hotel room. The trip to the ER in an ambulance cost $100, the ER visit, including a CT scan, a tetanus shot, and treating of my (yes, I diagnosed correctly) broken nose was only $300.
So, bottom line...Ashore, bruised and banged up, and in need of a stiff drink.

Ashore! Got the meta with the grid filled halfway, and for the first time having the meta answer helped me fill in the grid. Crowded beach for sure, which is unusual for ... (checks map) ... Seattle ... (checks calendar) ... in February.
