Love the web icons, Brian Mac. The mug in my browser tab. The wee pic of Issac on my app line. Makes me smile.

29-A, I am over-nighting at Issac's. 60-A!

I wonder if it’s the same one I spent a day and a half in. If so, it’s not right and you need to back all the way out and try another approach.

Sometimes you just don’t see it. So I’m bellied up in the stern garden for a starry night of bingo with several of my closest puzzling friends.

Does Isaac serve Guinness? 😃

Count me in for bingo and garden greenery... Thanks for the invitation, Marge! I’m not seeing the next step(s).
Still hoping:-)

I need an inadvertent clue. Went half way down what looked like THE rabbit hole, but got stuck. Not giving up!

Just sitting down to look at this and MGWCC. Found 2 rabbit holes immediately, but nothing yet.

Splashed around aimlessly for a while, but I have finally made it to shore. A path I had abandoned as a dead end turned out to be the path to success. Thanks Matt!

On shore. Oddly, although I’m 100% sure of the meta answer, I currently fully understand only 50% of the mechanism.

I’ve finished this week’s verbal sport
And think I can safely report
I’m over the DZ.
It all seemed so EZ
I worried I somehow fell short.

Apparently Bingo! Is the way to go. Fun time last night with a great group of Muggles in the stern garden. Isaac had free rounds for all. I must have blacked out- when I awoke this morning my head was clear and I saw the light. Now I’m grabbing a 56A, heading for 37A! 62A!!

Finally lurched ashore after way too long a struggle. Went on a wild goose chase on a theory which I feel must have been a red herring - it was just too good to be true (even if it indeed wasn’t).

[For NYC subway riders of a certain age.}

There’s a sign that I miss,
Used to see every day:
If U Cn Rd Ths
u cn gt a gd jb w hi pa!

And while I reminisce
I dream a sign for today:
If U cn slv ths
U cn wn a mg frm WSJ.

I find the mechanism a bit less obvious this week but consistent nonetheless.

Happy September fellow muggles

The bingo games on the ship were a huge success and Isaac thanks everyone for their generosity as his tip jar has been empty the past few weeks.

We have 16 on the ship and 78 on the shore reflecting a harder contest this week (hope, hope and hope for the mug with better odds)

Joining the ship's party for the bingo game are
Brian
streroto
SewYoung
Gwyneth
Jim and Anita
Les
the Commodore
Frances
sharkicicles

and getting to the shore are
jeoquavis
Tom Wilson
jimmyjam
phofer
our Limerick Savant (and we thank him for this week's limerick
Peter L
and Maine Marge

Good luck to all in getting to shore and winning the mug

Ahh. Maybe it was the beer Isaac served me but whatever it was I am now safely ashore. As I thought I was way down a very cool and entirely wrong pageant level rabbit hole that worked...almost. Happy Labor Day all!!

Yes, I cn rd tht and I know I should be able to solve ths, but it is not happening.
No time to play around with it too much because I've been busy this weekend...my time is up and if it didn't come jumping out at me, I'll have to drop it. (But this one bugs me because I feel that I *could* get it. Then again, we are no longer on the NYC subway system of yore, so with no smartphone, I'm not up with the times so stuck back in that decade which won't help me here.)
