Last week's puzzle was as Gaffneyesque as it could get, and this week's is truly Shenkesque in that sense.

After last week’s miss I am not 63A that I am 64A! Robert, please count me on shore!

On shore, after having to make that exact same correction!Toby wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 5:40 pmI did the same thing and came up with a very odd nationality at first. Sounded perhaps like someone from another planet. Then I looked again and everything became clear.Bird Lives wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 5:05 pm I was sure it was going to be the other way round, wound up with a very strange "word," made the quick correction, and waded ashore.
(And it's always nice to see my ancestor in the grid despite his superfluous letter.)

I guess you can count me on the beach since yesterday evening. 🏖 But I feel like I’m missing the resounding CLICK!
Maybe it was a mistake to have tea instead of the pomegranate margarita! Running my 7th anniversary of running my first 5K tomorrow.

I feel like we're preparing for a storm! And hoping it won't be too bad, but boarding up the windows just in case.

Good Friday morning
An interesting alternative. We have 40 on shore and a bunch of us wondering what we are missing that is so obvious.
Good luck to those preparing for Matt G's week 5 storm.

Frustrated. Feel like I have it but hasn't all clicked yet. Missing the adjustment others are mentioning.

Grid is finished. And enjoyed seeing 42A as I live in the only municipality (I think) to honor him with a holiday.
I think I'm in the same boat (or shore) as Doug C and BethA. I have an answer. Seems Shenk-ish to me. But it's a bit of a stretch and not what I'd call 100%. So I think I'll hang with Isaac a while and see if I can either lock this one in or dig a better rabbit hole.

Count me with the "wondering what we are missing that is so obvious" crew.
I am in what I hope will be a fruitful rabbit hole after backing out of one that was pretty silly...
While waiting for my sun tea to brew, Isaac is providing a nice dry martini.
P.S. Fun to see 40-down in the puzzle! We lived there for nearly 15 years (all three kids born there). And we were within walking distance of the OshKosh B'gosh clothing factory/outlet. They really sold actual "irregulars" dirt cheap so my kids grew up in striped overalls

Solved..? I have an answer but feels like I am forcing it a bit. Too nice a weekend to spend more time puzzling so I am jumping ship and kicking for shore.

Oh, I don’t mind not being able to solve a meta. I’d rather feel challenged than zip through a meta whose solution path is very similar to many prior ones.

I'm either over- or under-complicating things. Count me on the boat with Isaac, for now.
