Ashore and soon to be on a very welcome break from distance teaching.

It's a Patron Extra Anejo evening in store for me.

(BTW, is it just me, or do Matt and Mike seem to tip their hats to us with a 15A every week now?)

Ashore.

An earl grey for now. A Prohibition bourbon in a little bit.

Thought it was about just right level of difficulty for a newbie. Happy to now have a weekly streak going (2 on my own, 4 with nudges).

Ashore after a surprisingly (and very welcome) quick solve.
Happy upcoming Thanksgiving to everyone!

I see the clues to the mechanism, just can’t see what I’m sure is staring me right in the face. Flashbacks to that consternation I used to feel in calculus class.. looking around at all the smug faces around me while I am despairing of ever getting it and wondering if I’m missing an important part of my brain. 🤪

That’s okay — I got my revenge in art and poetry classes.
Oooookay. Got it now. I was on track but fooled by some very unsporting false fires.

I may not have to drop this class now.

Beer me. Anything amber or brown, now that fall has arrived in NC (first frosts this week).

Ashore! Our quickest solve thus far, and two in a row now. Beginner’s luck continues to work.

"Lots of interesting rabbit holes on this one. Ashore!"

Interesting. One thing that caused me anxiety was I didn't find any rabbit holes.....

Guess I shouldn't complain.

Mercifully, I didn't stumble into any of them. I usually get the grid done on Friday, and the few metas I've managed to solve have taken me til Saturday afternoon or later to find.

It amazes me that I got this one less than 15 minutes after completing the grid. I'd love to know why. Reminiscent of the puzzled feeling I have after hitting the rare great golf shot.

Didn't start until noon today and nothing has "jumped out". I was alone in the bar with HeadinHome and it looks like she just walked out. I got this place to myself?!
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

One day in and I am still on the ship...glad to hear all the 'easy' comments, but it is not coming to me this week. Tried three things that seemed reasonable, no dice. Will have to step away and come back with fresh eyes.

Well I’ve spent a little while looking at it and

Done. Coffee and a pecan bar a bit later - and I probably do not have those in the right order. Getting my taste buds primed for next week.
