Thanks to a nudge, I am now on shore! I'm sad to leave the ladies' night behind, but I'm sure we will gather together again soon. 😁

So many congratulations to Heidi on the birth of your gorgeous grandbaby! (That's a good sized watermelon! 😝)

Hope all in the path of Zeta are well

I have a box store size of Welch’s fruit snacks untouched from yesterday. No trick or treaters. Just as well. Love those squishy little guys.

Got the grid Thursday night but got the meta last night at 1:30 am (pre clock change).

I missed cabana boy’s costume yesterday. What did he wear?

Hope every had a Happy Halloween and congrats to Heidi on her newly-minted Grand-status!

Between election anxiety, COVID and snow in October, my brain can't seem to focus on solving this. I, too, would be grateful for an initial nudge.

Powerless for 48 hours but fortunately the temps were great. Count me on shore.

Greetings muggles! I am late to this week’s game...busy work week and celebrating our anniversary gave me little time for puzzles. I thought I was on track a couple of times, but they were dead ends. These “easy” puzzles are killing me.

Could use a nudge. My MS-tuner (MS for Mike Shenk) seems to have gone haywire and is picking up static.

Thanks to kind nudgers I believe I'm ashore. I wouldn't have gotten it without them, so thanks again.

LAS. Just can’t concentrate on the meta this weekend. On Friday, we traveled out of state for a memorial service for one of my closest friends who died in early May. The thought was to celebrate her life when it was safer for all of us who loved her to get together. (Not sure if that was the case, since there were lots of hugs among friends, one of whom I had not seen in over 40 years.) Saturday was another travel day to return to NC. Based on the amount of traffic on I-85, one would never know that NC had yet another weekly high of average new COVID cases. Anyway, the grid is complete, but my mind keeps wandering every time I start a meta-solution search. Think I will hope for post-enlightenment and perhaps some last-minute inspiration later tonight. I’d love to join the other ladies in the bar – I come bearing dark chocolate, LOTS of dark chocolate!

I’m still in the bar and LOVE chocolate! It goes so nicely with coffee in the morning and a deep red when we are ready to change beverages. I’m thinking about asking for a nudge. I’m seeing lots of things but just not seeing the path to the solve. Maybe the chocolate will help.

For all

On Friday I checked with the WSJ to ensure that the answer was not going to come out at 11 pm like it did last year. They assure me that they have corrected the problem.

Hopefully but we will know in 9 hours and 26 minutes

Music for this puzzle: The Beatles, I'm Looking Through you.
Maybe with some lyrics changes

You're looking at it the same old way
It worked last week, but not today
The only difference is the meta there
I'm looking through you and you're nowhere

I’m glad it’s not a system wide thing. Must just be me. I won’t worry about it. Thx!
