Ashore.

That was tricky. But really satisfying. On thing that threw me off too long is a took a wrong lead too much to heart.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

After sleeping on it I am confident in my answer and am declaring myself ashore.
Of course, come Monday, I may be declaring myself Robinson Crusoe, i.e. alone on the wrong island.

Every time there's a number in parentheses, I learn a new way of getting stumped. At sea. :(

Well if Wendy and Meg say it's a challenge, I have no hope. Ah well, 6 weeks skunked...
Don't you dare give up! This one requires tenacity and concentration, certainly, but there's a terrific payoff at the end. And a considerable sense of relief and accomplishment!
Tenacity and concentration may be necessary. But not sufficient, at least in my experience, i.e., the experience of tenaciously staring at a grid all weekend and getting nothing. If I don't see step one pretty quickly -- and I don't -- it's usually a lost cause. And apparently on this one steps two, three, and just one more are maybe even more difficult to find.

Instead of a 36-down, I fear that I may be in for a DRUbbing. Instead of a peNNy dropped, it might feel more like the anvil being dropped on the not-so-clevER Wile E. Coyote!
Check out the birding from the stern of the ship. Lots of pelagic species cruising along

Brilliant, I hope I prove to be. Count me ashore. If I’m wrong I’ll plead my case after this fun and stormy sail.

I'm with Isaac for now. I'm busy today so probably won't look at it until tonight. Good luck to all the Muggles, this looks like a serious challenge!

Had a hole in one the other day and told anyone who would listen I would much prefer the mug. Hands down.

What a glorious mug! Oh, and the cup is nice too!

I'm sure everything tastes better in that!

I’ve completed step one of this meta: claimed my weekend seat with Isaac early before the bar overflows to the Lido deck.
In real life I’ll be planting spring bulbs near these garden steps hoping for inspiration. Also hoping there aren’t this many steps to the meta.

This one fell pretty quickly for me. On shore!
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.
