Were you watching on H&I?
Indeed I was! The episodes appear intact, unlike the ones on MeTV. 🖖

Wow! I've never finished on a Thursday before, but I'm definitely feeling sand beneath my toes. Hope the tide doesn't reach my chair!

For those of us that are older than dirt, on October 15, 1951, the Lucille Ball Show premiered. The producers thought it would be a flop because they did not believe that the public would go for a woman lead and especially not one that was married to someone born in Cuba.

How wrong they were. The list of hysterical shows goes on and on.

Lurked for a few weeks, first time posting. First solve!

I had last week's formula figured but for some reason didn't write it out. This week determined not to make the same mistake. It took some looking but then resolved clearly and cleanly.

Got unstuck and am now on shore! Easy after the fact but was tough for me to see the path.

I laughed at 52D when completing the grid.

Getting to this late today. Had to leave it and come back to it after my host retired. Safely ashore now! Nice one, Mr. Shenk!

As a grown man born in 1980 who loves to golf, I wish 63A would be fashionable.

Ha ha ha! My husband is constantly golfing. Is that what he’s up to? And me, I’m hanging with Isaac. Maybe I should take up golf!

I was at sea for a while because I was in the thrall of the cruelest of rabbit holes: a rabbit hole that doubles as an ear worm.

One of the answers got me locked into a song famously mocked by Dave Barry, and I couldn't get past:

"I recall the yellow cotton dress
Foaming like a wave
On the ground beneath your knees"

(Hope it's not a spoiler to say the answer is not a yellow cotton dress.)

Anyway, I'm ashore now.

Hmm. What drink would go with soggy, rained-on cake?
