I think I have it. Iโ€™ll pm Brian.

I loved the mechanism, but it took a bit of trial and error, googling, and speculation to turn it into an answer.

Not a show Iโ€™m familiar with, but that reflects more on my ignorance of sitcoms than how well known this one is.

What?? You're not familiar with "At Home with Margaret Cho," where this week, Margaret plays host to that madcap Yma Sumac?

I have edited the prompt to read:
The answer to the meta is a well-known '80s-'90s television sitcom.
I changed it from this at the last minute this morning, but with 4/4 answers so far all the same wrong answer, now I remember why I originally worded it the way I did. Sorry for the confusion.

I'll edit the files this afternoon.

99% this time. Very cool.

Edit: BrianMac confirms. Coincidentally, this is not the first time I've missed this particular answer for a meta.

Nice grid! Nothing apparent on meta. I think this one's going in the back pocket....

[5 minutes later-- I see Step 1--putting puzzle back in pocket for good karma]
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Well done. Wish I knew what to do beyond step one. Maybe Iโ€™ll try putting it in a back pocket.

Back pocket worked out nicely. Awaiting confirmation. I also see the more current sitcom.

Off the Adirondack chair on the deck of the rental beach house on Lake Michigan! (Beautiful sunset, by the way.)

Though I needed a nudge to get started, I very much enjoyed this puzzle. For me there were multiple stages of โ€œHuh?? Oh, wait, I think Iโ€™m seeing something.โ€ With rabbit holes in between. Fun!

Good one, Brian!
