The answer to this week’s contest crossword is a native of a certain place.

Have fun and good luck on winning the mug!

My printer ran out of ink, so my whole routine is out the window. :(

I might be able to pull this one off on the computer, but what about tomorrow?

I waved at Isaac as I swam to shore. I’m hoping tomorrow's week 5 MGWCC will not be too painful.

On shore, freeing me up to enjoy a sunny day ... if the storm-pelted Northeast allows for one this weekend. Take care, all. (And Al, whose choice of quaff is admirable. There's nothing prettier on Earth than a well-poured Guinness.)

Solved! I am definitely getting the hang of these things. And now ready, with some trepidation, for a week 5 MGWCC.

I was sure it was going to be the other way round, wound up with a very strange "word," made the quick correction, and waded ashore.
(And it's always nice to see my ancestor in the grid despite his superfluous letter.)

Made it! Happy to be on shore after being on the road last weekend. I did make an unsuccessful half-hearted attempt after the deadline.

I’m in awe of how fast you speed demons fill in the grid. I had to give up and look several names up to finish. Then I had to look more things up for the meta.

I did the same thing and came up with a very odd nationality at first. Sounded perhaps like someone from another planet. Then I looked again and everything became clear.

On shore, with some help from google.

Also googled the weird word, just to be sure it wasn’t something relevant that I didn’t know about.

Shoulda gotten last week's but didn't, breaking a 7-week streak. This week, I'm back on shore!
