On shore. Liked it and reminded me of some past as well. Using an app to see what mixes well together with some bottle remnants. Looks like a Tito-Rita will be coming up.

The grid is killing me. I fear I'll be keeping Isaac company for a while.

Wendy, you have a (kinda old by now) PM.
Received and replied. Thank you for the reminder!

My first reaction to "kips" was that it's the British slang for "naps"! I kinda liked the clue for 49D -- d'ya think it was meant for us?!

On shore! I thought this was very well done. And I think I see the bow others are seeing - it can’t be a coincidence, right?

Week 1 from Matt tomorrow, and at the risk of tempting fate I hope some other metas post so we don’t run out of them for the weekend.

And speaking of the weekend...enjoy!

Grid killed me - I almost never have to cheat on WSJ grids. This one I could only get 25% of the gird. I won't submit this week and may not even try the meta. Very frustrating puzzle.

Whoa...I was thinking it was Week 4 coming up, and was thinking that I'd never be able to get it, the way my brain has been (not) working. What a relief! So tomorrow is...May?!

Here's to good friends, tonight is kinda special.
The beer we'll pour must say something more, not less.
So tonight, tonight, let us drink Guinness

Well I thought I had a methodology based on the hint in the gird but it went no where. I will be with Issac for a while which I guess is fine having made it safely ashore the past 3 weeks.

Keep at it until Sunday. If you’re still floundering, message me. It’s more fun if you get yourself.

Message: take your time; some of these things can take a LONG time, even for experienced solvers. This is not a very easy one, so people will "find shore" through Sunday night, guaranteed. Just keep looking for curious, interesting things in the clues, grid, title, and prompt.

If you are still at wits' end on Sunday, or whenever you run out of time to spend on this, then solicit a nudge.
