I was actually hoping for a more difficult puzzle, one that would keep my mind occupied during what looks like a long weekend with nothing to do, nowhere to go.
How about MGWCC? This week's is also pretty easy, but assuming I understand the new system right, if you sign up and pay the $3 for March, you'll get this weekend's puzzle and also be able to download all the puzzles since January. Some of them are tough enough to keep you busy.

Also worth a look are the Fill-Me-In metas. The current open one is at bit.ly/fmi234con and you can find links to the previous three (yes, this is new) here at forums/viewforum.php?f=14 or by finding their podcast notes.

MMMM does not have a current contest open, but you can find the previous ones on his website
https://pmxwords.com/2020-contest-puzzles/
https://pmxwords.com/2019-contest-puzzles-archive/
https://pmxwords.com/2018-contest-puzzles-archive/
etc.

And of course PGW at https://pgwcc.net/ (if you want to solve the older ones, be careful not to spoil yourself as he posts the previous solution before the current puzzle.)

Did I miss any?

Like others I’m pretty shore I’m on the correct pretty shore. Cannot find the 100% yet but 99%% is good enough odds for me. I believe we’ve seen this meta method before. 🤞🏼
No CV here, on vacation 10 miles south of West Palm Beach FL. Heading home to rural Maine safety in a few days.

I think I have the answer, but not real happy about how I got there.

I think I'll have Isaac set me up my Friday martini and think about it when we see the great Led Kaapana tonight at the Ka Na Kapila grill. OK, maybe I won't be thinking about the puzzle until tomorrow morning.

Ashore, had the answer about 30% into the grid solve, which is a first for me. Too easy? Or was I just dialed into just the right headspace?

Stay well, everyone!

Quick solve for both grid and meta. Enjoying the song at the shore party. Reminds me of MMMM metas where I play the song the rest of the day.
In San Diego everything has been shut down, plus it has been raining...as a tennis player this is a double whammy!

This might be the first time I got the answer on the same day I completed the puzzle.
ASHORE! Cruise Director Bob! 8-)
There sure was a lot of angst because of a delay in posting the puzzle. (So I understand from reading the comments). I wait 'til Friday morning anyway.
If you haven't already, you gotta read the comments from pages 13 and 14 of "In the Hopper".
Conspiracy theories on why there was no puzzle yet. Hilarious IMO.

I think I see a way you could get 2 different beetles songs, but one seems more appropriate, neither is really further confirmed though.
I agree, and thought of the one that was wrong first - it was the between-scenes house music for the only theater performance I ever acted in as a college student. What can I say? My parents didn't like the Beatles much, so I didn't grow up listening to them (although my mother was smack-dab in the middle of their audience demographic). But it just didn't seem quite right, and then the answer was staring at me after a quick consult with the Goog. Not my favorite song of theirs, though I did hear it at a McCartney concert I went to once. I'll say this: once you hit the right answer and work out the proper path, there's no question that it's the right one.

Did the puzzle this morning, no luck at first, put the puzzle down. Gave it another look at around noon. Nope, nothing new. Came home, had it within five minutes. I usually print out and do it on paper, but rather than re-print at home I did the grid on the site. I don't usually find this helpful, but the slightly cleaner view may have helped me with step 1, and the Goog got me the rest of the way.

Safely ashore on a Friday evening! Wonderful. Easier than normal on both grid and meta, unusual from Mr. Gaffney. Good luck everyone.

Wow... I've been playing guitar for 60 years, and I've never heard that term or that specific finger-picking style. Haunting and unique. More research is required for sure...
